He began his career singing MPB, with rich lyrics and sweet melodies. For many years, he stood out in national circuit festivals, blending MPB with romantic pop. He has won over 100 awards throughout Brazil.
He has written songs that became hits with prominent artists, including Xuxa, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, and Sandy & Junior, and sold more than 25 million copies of his own songs.
In 2003, he recorded the CD "Alvinho e DaMatta" with his partner Alvaro Socci under Sony Music Brazil. This album featured original romantic pop songs, produced by Nando and Fegalli, and performed by the group Roupa Nova.
In 2010, Claudio started an English music project alongside lyricist Russ Peake, creating pop songs for the international market. He is responsible for the soundtrack of the award-winning children's show "O Rei do Lixo," featuring touching songs about environmental preservation.
